New Season Favorite Print: Gingham

Checkered prints will be big this summer and gingham is a good starter for spring. If you love retro prints you’ll be delighted. There are lot of options maybe the sequel to the ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ chess master wardrobe success that became so popular with checkerboard prints and 1960s fashion. Well good, I love her ’60s-style and her retro prints. I’m really obsessed with prints right now and I have a little more preference for gingham. It evokes me one of my favorite fashion icon of this decade the young Bardot at Saint-Tropez, picnics, garden parties, joyful casual gathering events outside during sunny days in spring and summer. So I love wearing a summer gingham dress, a skirt or a top to immerse into this new season vibes. I think you can’t have enough of gingham.

Styling Tips on How to Wear Gingham

Shop separates so you can mix and match with other gingham clothing even in another color but preferably with the same pattern size to make sense. Blue, green, yellow are easier to wear because pink can be too girly according to the fit and associations. Don’t go too retro and add contemporary elements, current trends to your gingham outfit to keep the look modern. Note that you can opt for a monochrome look and then add gingham accessories like a bag, a belt or shoes.
